Press Release: Relational Database Services (SQLRDS) Now Available

Posted by Rob Risetto on February 10, 2016

DBInsight today has announced the release of their new SQL Server Relational Database Services (SQLRDS) for cloud based and on-premise SQL Server environments.

SQLRDS implements a best practice framework for database administration, management and monitoring that prevents data loss and maximises your SQL Server’s performance and system uptime.

SQLRDS is squarely aimed at the AWS RDS and Azure IaaS customers who want more flexibility and support coverage for their managed cloud based SQL Server environments.

With the release of SQLRDS, software vendors with cloud based database environments will get the full flexibility of having administrator rights with the benefits of a full optioned database managed service” said Rob Risetto, DBInsight’s Director and principal consultant.

Customers have a variety of SQLRDS service level options to choose from, starting from a low cost SQLRDS Lite which is self-service cloud based monitoring/alerting solution, SQLRDS Standard that exceeds AWS RDS for functionality and flexibility, and SQLRDS Plus which is a fully outsourced database managed service.

SQLRDS includes support for the full range of High Availability options, from custom log shipping for the SQL Express Edition to high end implementations of SQL Server Clusters and Always-On Availability Groups.

DBInsight Pty Ltd is a leading Australian based provider of SQL Server services to Corporate and Government clients.
